One Health: A comprehensive approach to the challenges of the 21st century

Human health is closely linked to animal health and the environment and cannot be understood in isolation. Although this interconnection may seem obvious, it took centuries to become established as a scientific and public health approach. Today, this framework, known as One Health, represents a comprehensive strategy for addressing complex health challenges in a globalized world.
